There are just so many things that could qualify as concrete repair. What we always try to tell people, especially those of you who may be looking for a quick quote over the phone is that there different things that we can do. Different techniques can be applied to the same concrete problem and we could obtain comparable results. Knowing that it is hard to give you a quote before we have actually assessed the extent of the damages and we actually picked the best way to fix them! What we want to do in this page then, is let you know the process that we go through with every concrete repair project that we take on.
Asses The Damages
In our services page, we mentioned something that happens to us all of the time. We get calls from people claiming that they need one type of service and when we actually get there and take a look at their situation first hand we realize we may need to implement another strategy. That is not something that is going to count against you of course. The main reason though that we have to asses the situation before we throw out any numbers is precisely, that we can’t hold clients accountable. It is ok that you don’t know exactly what you need us to do, that is what we are here for!
Putting The Options On The Table
At times there will be certain situations that can be fixed fairly quickly. That does not mean though that going through a quick repair is going to be the best thing for you. Let’s say that you have certain cracks that keep forming in the same exact spots. We can seal the cracks a couple of times. If this continues to happen though, the best thing may be to replace the entire concrete slab altogether. Those are the types of situations that we are going to give you the opportunity to evaluate.
Are There Different Types of Concrete?
If you are not very familar with concrete flooring you may not realize that there are actually different types of floors that are made from concrete but don’t have the typical grayish color to them. These floors can be concrete slabs that, were painted over with epoxy or other types of paints. They can be stamped concrete floors. Fixing this type of concrete can get a little tricky because we are going to want to maintain the design. Working with actual pros on projects like this, we would say is a must!
At times we have had to come in and actually repair the poor job that the person who installed the concrete in the first place did. We are not going to be those guys that always want to put you on the hook for the most expensive service on the money. As we explained a few paragraphs ago though there are times where it is just not worth it to be spending money on minor repairs that are just not going to be a long term solution. We also offer garage floor resurfacing.
