Garage Floor Resurfacing

Garage Floor Resurfacing

The first thing that we want to get out here is that not all garages are going to be perfect candidates for this process. That is something that not every company is going to tell you. That is also the main reason why do-it-yourself attempts to resurface garage floors fail. Just because you can go out and buy all of the materials and follow a step by step guide that you find online does not mean that you can expect optimal results. In fact, trying to predict what the final product is going to look like could be considered one of the hardest parts of the job!

When Can We Make A Prediction?

Since we were talking about predicting as one of the hardest parts of the job we want to stick to that topic. One of the problems that we find people have is that they really don’t know the extent of the damage because, most garages are usually never empty. The first thing that we are going to want to do is clear out your garage and actually, get a chance to see what we are going to be up against. From there we can sit down and look at the options that are going to be available for us at that time.

What Resurfacer Are We Going To Use?

There are actually a couple of brands that we are pretty loyal to. If you have a brand that you like and you would want us to use that is something that we can work out. What we don’t really do is get clients to buy the materials. We have had a couple of bad experiences with that. What would happen would be that people would go out and buy the cheapest brands and materials that they could find. So they were keeping the price down, but then they would blame us for the results. As we said this is something that we could work out, but we do have some boundaries here!

What If Resurfacing Is Not A Viable Option?

There are many different types of things that we can do as far as concrete repairs go. In any case, we have to go in and seal all of the cracks before we apply resurfacer or any other type of finish. This also is going to depend on the type of garage that we are dealing with. If you know that you are going to get a lot of traffic in your garage constantly then you may want us to explore different options.

Giving It The Perfect Time To Settle

Another reason why some of these procedures tend to fail is that people want to use them before they are ready. Even though a lot of people are going to want to say a couple of hours is enough for the surface to fully dry and be ready we usually advise that you give it a bit more time to settle. We would rather wait for even one more day for long term relief rather than speed up the process. Check out our next service
